Hello everyone,

Although there is still snow on the ground here in Calgary, people are beginning to think of spring. The other day I spotted the tip of a daffodil in my garden beginning to make its way out of the soil.

On Easter Sunday, March 23, anyone who is interested can come to Lake Louise to tone from 11 am to 12 noon. Pleae see the details below. Because Lake Louise is a vortex, I have included some information about vortices in the article below, particularly about vortices in Alberta.

Vortex Energy

I was excited to find out more about vortex energy this month because of our toning circle at Lake Louise (a major vortex) on Easter Sunday. Tens of thousands of people every year are drawn to this place by its beauty and purity. The energy there on Easter Sunday is particularly strong and our intention in toning is to use the sound to amplify the energy for spiritual awakening that is available to people there. Please see below for some interesting information about vortex energy in general and in Alberta.

A vortex is a whirling mass of energy. This movement can cause a depression or vacuum in the centre. Some examples are a tornado, a hurricane or even water going down a drain. On the prairies, we have a phenomenon called a dust devil or dirt devil where the wind picks up soil and whirls it around like a mini tornado. We have all seen fall winds blow leaves around in a circle.

More subtle examples of vortices are chakras, whirling masses of energy that connect to the human body in seven major areas through the spine. There are also many examples of subtle vortex energy on the earth. Not all of us can see this kind of energy, but we can certainly feel it.

"Ancient people knew that wherever the earth's energy gathered into a vortex was a sacred place. These strongly charged areas of the globe have also been the places where people have chosen to build churches, temples and other centres of spirit and learning." (Source: Vortexes of Earth Energy)

"These powerful eddies of pure Earth power manifest as spiral-like coagulations of energy that are either electric, magnetic, or electromagnetic qualities of life force." Page Bryant, Terravision: A Traveler's Guide to the Living Planet Earth.

"Southern Alberta - from Calgary to Lake Louise is a major earth vortex. Vortices may include (but are not limited to) high mountains, hot springs, mineral deposits and rock outcroppings. A vortex is a high energy spot on the Earth originating from magnetic or electric energy, combined with spiritual energy. Up-flow Vortices (electric vortices) are said to boost spiritual skills and expand consciousness. In-flow Vortices (magnetic vortices) are said to promote introspection and thought. Southern Alberta is an up-flow vortex.

Other major earth vortices are: Avebury, England; Ayers Rock, Australia; Bimini, off the Florida Coast; Easter Island, Chili; Nepal; Machu Pichu, The Andes South America; Philippines; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Sedona, Arizona; Tibet, Lhasa." The following information is quoted from an article, Vortex Energy, at www.wholistix.com:

"Energy Vortices --Vortex for singular -- also called Power Spots or Sacred Sites, are concentrated subtle-energy deposits located at various geophysical places. Mainly influenced by Earth Energy: electro-magnetism, ionization, underground water, geothermal activity - to name a few sources; an energy vortex is the "Meeting Grounds for Invisible Energy".

On a subtle-energy level, Earth's energy field is an invisible electromagnetic grid system composed of energy pathways or leylines. Noted by the Irish as 'fairy paths'; the Europeans as 'line songs'; and the Chinese as 'dragon currents', these natural energy pathways intersect one another, creating high energy ( positive/negative or yin/yang ) vortices - Power Spots. Vortices typically exist where there are concentrations of gravitational anomalies, in turn creating an environment that can defy the laws of nature: bend light, twist plant life into contorted shapes, alarm animals, and cause humans to feel various sensations.

Additionally, high-energy vortex areas ( power spots ) are considered to be powerful energetic gateways or portals to multidimensional realities. Likewise, Native wisdom claims that these areas are where physical and nonphysical worlds interconnect and merge as one. Evidently, high energy zones have the ability to 'attract'; well known temples and monuments are located at these sites.

Many readers may be surprised to discover that Alberta is a major high energy area, ranking as one of the "Top 50" Earth energy centers of the World. According to a 'vortices listing' from the Becker-Hagen Planetary Grid Map, central Alberta is a MAJOR energy zone, located northern 50-55 degree parallel. This grid map displays Earth's energy system as a geometrical patterned shape, similar to a crystalline structure, with pathways that intersect and create major energy node points - strong energy places.

Some of the listed 'top 50' are: Central Alberta, Sedona, Stonehenge, Easter Island, Bermuda Triangle, and the Pyramids. These are special places - known as sacred, mysterious and magical Earth energy sites.

Some of Alberta's high-energy highlights are: Alberta is Medicine Wheel capital of the world; Ancient sacred grounds date back several thousands of years; Archeological Preservation of petroglyphs (rock carvings) and pictographs (rock paintings) - dating back more than 3,000 thousand years; Home of Canada's largest Crop Circle formation; Unexplained phenomena; Irregular shaped plant life.

Compared to Sedona or Stonehenge, Alberta may seem like the youngest of the "Power Spot" family bunch, and perhaps it is. One thing for certain, Alberta is now energetically awakening, growing and transforming on multiple energy levels.
