Thoughts from the Middle of the Night
Have you ever been woken up in the middle of the night with your mind buzzing with inspiring thoughts? It happens to me especially when I am preparing to speak for a group. What appears in my mind is always appropriate and I am grateful for the help, even though I sometimes hint that the timing could be better. So, I make sure there is pen and paper by the bed before I go to sleep.
In September, as I was preparing to speak for a group, the thoughts and words below woke me up at four in the morning. When I shared them with this group, they resonated deeply. I am finding that these words resonate with the growing awareness within us of the power of our thoughts and our voice and decided to share them in this month’s newsletter.
“Sound is the energy of creation itself. We are given the energy of creation itself – our voice. And we are given the power of creation – our thought and intention. Every one of us has this gift.
At the beginning of our earliest civilizations, language was considered sacred, because when we speak, we send into the world the energy of creation itself.
We have forgotten this. Language is still sacred. What has changed is how we create with it. We cannot stop being creators. We can only choose to create consciously or unconsciously.”
From my own experience in performing the classical guitar for all kinds of events, I know, without a doubt, that the thoughts I send out on the music are received by my audience. These thoughts have been reflected to me too often by comments after a performance for me to have any more doubts about this.
For me, this knowledge carries a huge question. Am I willing to accept the responsibility for the content of my thoughts, words and sounds that I send out to other people, intentionally or unintentionally? I know that they receive them, energetically or physically.
Making the shift to considering everything that you think and say as sacred is quite a journey into deep levels of your mind and behaviour. It makes me think twice before speaking and creates a whole new level of integrity in relationships and interactions with others.
